The Department of Classics will host Professor James Rives of UNC College of Arts and Sciences for a talk on “Animal Sacrifice and the Authority of the Roman Emperor” on Friday, February 5th at noon, as part of the ongoing colloquium on conflict and reconciliation in the ancient world.
