The seventh and penultimate meeting of this year’s Ancient Societies Workshop on ‘Frontiers and Provinces’ will take place this Friday, 8 April at noon in Phelps Hall 407. Lunch will be served, as always.
The speaker will be Elspeth Dusinberre (Colorado), who will lead us in the exploration of yet another empire and another provincial context, Achaemenid Persian Anatolia, with a talk on, ”Provincial Participation in Imperial Endeavor: Power and Agency in Achaemenid Persian Anatolia”.
