YIWSA will hold its penultimate workshop presentations on aspects of generation and beginnings, considered from the perspectives of classics, philosophy, history, and political science. Emily Kress (Dept. of Classics and Dept. of Philosophy) will provoke the titular question “Is Aristotle’s Spontaneous Generation Really Spontaneous?”; and Daniela Cammack (Dept. of Political Science) will explore “The Demos Before Democracy.”

As always, wine and a variety of treats will be provided. Faculty, grad students, and post-docs from all fields with an interest in antiquity are warmly invited. Please join us next week, Thursday, April 21st at 5:45pm in Phelps Hall 207!
